Week 6 Mind Mapping

For this week,Mr.Radzi Bedu is giving us the lecture that about mind mapping.Its the same topic with last week lecturer but abit different from last week class.

This week class is about stereotype and mind mapping. He showing us the example by giving 2 papers to a boy and a girl.Inside the paper already had the answer that Mr.Radzi Bedu want to ask.After that,he asked them the question and want them to answer immediately.At last, Mr.Radzi Bedu got 1 correct from the boy and 2 correct from the girl.Actually,from this example he just want to let us know what is stereotype.

Before the class dismiss,he tought us about how to associate the mind map.Actually this is quite funny and interest.It is different from the normal mind map,but it is creative and logic.After lecturer explained to us,then he gave us 1 paper to do the mind map.At last we done it n class dismissed.

Personal Reflection

For this week class,i personally like it very much cause its very nice and creative.The second reason is because its quite different with the normal mind map.Today class is all about mind map and stereotype.After lecturer show us the example, i know more about stereotype. Not that lecturer can read our mind,is just stereotype.The mind map that lecturer taugh us is very creative.

WEEK 3 Personal Reflection

About my personal reflection for this class...

Not much about it.

I personally quite like the movies that lecturer show to us.Cause it brings out new idea that i never think before.Before the class,i know none about this 4 words(innovation,invention,creativity,novelty).But after the class,i understand about their meaning although not really deep.We as a design students,we must always brings out new ideas or and changes it.So that, people will bind our ideas or use our ideas.

WEEK 3 Class Summary

(NOVELTY,CREATIVITY,INNOVATION and INVENTION)

For last week class, lecturer told us and explained to us about 4 words that is novelty,creativity,innovation and invention.At the first of the class, i quite blur about this 4 words cause i don't even know what meaning. But after the class, i go home and do some research.Finally i know they are.

For creativity,Mr.Yip already explain to us through whole lecturer on 26 January 2010.Personally,i think the main point for creativity is we must change our attitude and think positively to get more new ideas.

About novelty,novelty is the quality of being new or a new experience or occurrence. For me, i think it means that we have to try our best and try to create the things that people never try before.After that we talk about innovation.Innovation is a new way of doing somethings new that is useful for us.The last 1 is invention.Invention is a new composition.We create somethings new of change somethings that is already exist base on our own understanding and new idea.

Between,lecturer also show us a short video clip to us in the class. I personally quite like the movie cause of the idea. The idea is new and fresh. In the movie, hand phone also can be a ATM machine. How we know may be next time got people can do it.

This 4 words is quite important for us since we studying about design and creativity. This is all that i get from the lecture.Thank You.

Week 2 Personal Reflection

About personal reflection.

For me,the lecture is quite long and cant admit that i started to feel tired.

I totally agree with the whole lecture.As Mr.Yap said,to be creative,we must change our attitude.

We need to think positively and change our attitude to get new ideas or different ideas.Mr.Yap also said that, there is no wrong or right in creativity, there is only good or bad.I personally agree with it.

Since we being a designer, we must always believe ourself that we can be creative and we can create something new.Last,i think that everyone also have the different meaning for the creativity.

being creative is very important for us.So we must change our attitude to archive something new.

Title:Defining Creativity

Objective:To Know About Creativity

Lecturer:Mr.Yap Sau Bin

What is creativity?Mr.Yap explained to us through whole lecture.Its a quite long lecture,but happy class.Creative defined as turning new and imaginative ideas into different way.Creativity involves 2 process that is thinking produce.Everyone also can be creative even our parents.

At the beginning of the class,Mr.Yap showed us a metal stick and asked us that what is the first idea that came to our mind when we saw that stick.Everyone also got different answer,some answers that we don't even think about it.

Actually, Mr.Yap talked through whole lecturer just to tell us how to be creative and the meaning of creative.His explanation is clear and simple.I personally quite enjoy.
